Enigma是一支伟大的New Age风格乐队，来自德国，以其神秘主义风格吸引了无数乐迷。神秘主义的主题用现代电子乐来表现，使人产生一种时空交错的奇妙感觉。

我认识Enigma是在1994年，那时第一次在电视里看见《Return To Innocence》的MV，当时还小，不怎么懂，只知道这个MV的镜头回放很有趣，歌里的台湾阿美族老人的吆喝就像是唱山歌一样，只觉得很特别，那时也不懂New Age为何物。

因为当时很流行，那段时间电视里经常放这首歌，听多了，慢慢理解了，唱的是一个人的一生，从死亡开始回到出生，返朴归真。

在后来我买到了Enigma的第一张专辑《MCMXC.A.D.》，被《Principles Of Lust : I - Sadeness》这首歌完全征服了，开场的拉丁语圣歌、法语独白、在Enigma的神秘主义中展示了声名狼藉的萨德侯爵悲惨的50年牢狱生活。

写的是sade的狱中生活,其实应该是以sade作为蓝本虚构的一个半真实的人物。借用了他的经历,捏造了一段苦难罗曼史。一个为爱疯狂的女人，一段畸形的三角恋.萨德侯爵因写作性爱题材小说声名狼籍而被送至精神病院监禁，过程中精神病院的考尔麦神父在同德萨德长期相处中和他成为好友。精神病洗衣女工玛特琳呢，深深被萨德和他的作品吸引，冒险秘密把他的书送出去出版，引起了轩然大波。皇帝勃然大怒派了个变态加暴力的医生前往精神病院阻止萨底继续写作。萨德被收走了所有的鹅毛笔和纸，他就用骨头蘸酒写在床单上；然后，床单被子也搜走了，他就用手指蘸着自己的血将全身写满，最长的句子写到鞋底；接着，萨德脱掉所有衣服，光着身子独自关押在空荡荡的牢房里，他就通过口述，其他病人逐个口头传递的方式传至玛特琳的笔端，记录下来：“亲爱的读者，我有真人真事一则呈上……” 精神病院陷入了疯狂,玛特琳被强奸然后死掉了，sade被割了舌头也死掉了，神父写下鹅毛笔的故事,陷入了癫狂。
